Apple is set to unveil the new iPhone 16 series with a grand event in September. With just a short time remaining until the expected September 10th event, a new claim has emerged that for the first time, an iPhone model will be produced outside of China. Here’s the new production location Apple has chosen for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max…
iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max to be Produced in a New Location Immediately After Launch
According to Bloomberg’s reports, iPhone production company Foxconn is already training its workers for production. Another report suggests that Foxconn will begin production a few weeks after the Apple event. The facility chosen specifically for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will start production right after the launch to fulfill orders.
The new production location chosen is India. Following Foxconn, other companies like Tata and Pegatron are expected to begin assembly. Tata, which is working on opening its second iPhone production facility in India, aims to reach a total of four facilities in the country this year.
While the entire iPhone 16 Pro series is said to be produced at the facility in India, other models will continue to be manufactured in China. It remains to be seen whether there will be any issues at the new production site. Given that more than half of users are expected to choose the iPhone 16 Pro series, focusing on this and ensuring swift delivery could be beneficial for Apple.
What do you think about the suitability of the country planned for the iPhone 16 Pro series production? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
